MEDNET2001 call for papers

6th Annual World Congress on the Internet in Medicine

Dear Colleagues,

the paper submission for MEDNET 2001 is open.

MEDNET 2001 topics include, but are not limited to:

  • the Internet in primary care
  • Internet in medical information exchange
  • telemedicine
  • medical education
  • medical libraries
  • access to health and medical information
  • hospital management and the Internet
  • Intranet, extranet and Internet for medical applications
  • international medical collaboration
  • basic and clinical research using the Internet
  • scientific publishing on the Internet
  • quality of Internet information
  • Internet usage statistics and demographics
  • the Internet and the developing world
  • ethical and legal issues
  • Internet technologies and standards
  • specialized Internet tools for medicine (search engines, filtering, etc)
  • Internet security and privacy

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts (up to 6000 characters) using the form available at http://mednet2001.drmm.uniud.it/

Extended abstracts should be organized in four sections: introduction, material and methods, results, discussion, with up to three references. In order to make the online Proceedings and the Virtual Congress associated to MEDNET2001 more interesting, authors are kindly requested to provide, when available, URLs for the cited references, and an URL for the work or system or application described in the abstract, if possible. The latter may be submitted also after paper submission. During the Congress, printed proceedings will be also available.
