AstraZeneca PhD Studentship at MMUBS
Opportunity for an exceptional candidate to
join an innovative business school
Manchester Metropolitan University Business
School (MMUBS) and AstraZeneca wish to jointly fund a PhD studentship for
October 2002 in the area of organisational diffusion of information
technology in drug discovery. The studentship will be part of a major
ongoing investigation into the strategic impact and knowledge management
practices enabling innovation in knowledge-intensive firms.
The successful candidate, a highly
motivated graduate in information technology management or business
studies, will be based at the Graduate School of Business at MMUBS, and
will be attached to one of our Research Groups
or Centres.
Applicants should have a 1st or 2.1 class
degree, and a Masters degree in an appropriate subject is desirable but
not essential. The studentship will provide full-time home/EU fees only,
and an annual maintenance award of 8300. Successful overseas applicants
will be required to provide the difference (4720) between UK/EU tuition
fees and overseas tuition fees.
Closing date for applications is 15
August 2002 (or postmarked no later than 15 August 2002). Interviews will
be held on Thursday, 29 August 2002.
