Research studentships in consumer health informatics at Plymouth university

 

The University of Plymouth is offering a total of 20 Scholarships across all disciplines for students who intend to undertake a full time research degree at MPhil/PhD level. Scholarships are open to those students who intend to commence their research degrees in 2003/4. http://www.plymouth.ac.uk/pages/view.asp?page=4783

possible areas of research.

These include:

  • the information needs of patients with cancer;
  • computer support in multiple sclerosis;
  • the information needs of patients in primary care;
  • education after brain injury;
  • patient education using interactive TV;
  • virtual support (diabetes, people with learning disabilities, rural settings);
  • patient access to health records;
  • practice nurse-delivered CBT for anxiety and depression.

The scholarships will cover UK/EU tuition fees and a maintenance allowance of £9,000 and are available for up to 3 years.
