SIHI 2003 conference
— call for participation
Southern Institute for Health Informatics
5th annual conference
Thursday 12 June 2003, Portland Building, University of Portsmouth
After four tremendously successful SIHI
conferences, we are holding this year's in Portsmouth and would like to
invite you to participate. The venue will be the award-winning Portland
Building, on the main University of Portsmouth campus.
The themes of the conference include:
- ICT helping to meet Government
priorities and targets
- new applications of clinical information
- electronic patient records/ electronic
healthcare records
- telemedicine, especially innovative
applications
- ebooking of appointments
- issue surrounding the security and
confidentiality of patient data
- new applications of the Internet in
healthcare
- primary care computing
- developments in new information and
communications technologies
- ICT and the professions allied to
medicine
But other topics relevant to health
informatics are welcomed.
The conference will consist of a number of
keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations and workshops. Vendors
will be able to exhibit their products and services.
