The Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST), the
National Research and Development Centre for Welfare and Health (STAKES),
Finland, the Norwegian Federation of Organisations of Disabled People (FFO)
and the Norwegian Cancer Association are organising an international
conference on telemedicine and eHealth with the title:
"Citizen participation in eHealth: Challenges for
research, technologies and healthcare organisations".
The focus of TTeC 2004 is on people using eHealth for
their own health purposes, addressing information and communication
technologies for health from the perspective of citizens and patients.
The TTeC aims to be a meeting place for researchers,
policy-makers, patients, citizens and health professionals. The conference
will combine future perspectives with state-of- the-art research and
practice, and will encourage debates from a wide range of perspectives.
Keynote speakers include: Angela Coulter (Picker
Institute Europe), David Gustafson(Center for Health Systems Research and
Analysis), Ishii Hiroshi (MIT Media Lab) and Jeremy Wyatt (AMC Amsterdam).
Submission of abstracts
You are invited to submit an abstract of your work on
topics along the following lines:
- policy, organisation, strategy: what should we
strive for?
- technology; applications and practice: what do we
have?
- research: what do we know and need to know?
Deadline for submission of one-page abstracts: 2nd
February 2004.
