The 9th Annual World Congress on the Internet in Medicine

We have the pleasure to invite you to submit your work and participate to
MEDNET 2004 — the 9th World Congress of Medicine in Internet in Buenos Aires
city 5–7 December 2004.
MEDNET 2004 is the Annual Congress of the Society for the Internet in
Medicine (SIM) and it is an international event that gathers numerous
investigators, developers and users of many disciplines that, owing to hard
work as a whole, have managed to transform the Internet in an important and
useful tool for health promotion. It is organised by the SIM (Society for
the Internet in Medicine) in collaboration with the Buenos Aires' Biomedical
Informatics Group (GIBBA).
MEDNET 2004's program includes subjects such as:
- Internet's impact in the attention and follow up of patients
- Quality of medical contents in the Internet
- Bioethical aspects of the Internet in health
- Telemedicine, present time and projects
- Internet's impact in continuous medical education
- The use of the Internet in multicentric clinical trials, etc.
After the successful editions of Brighton (1996 and 1997), London (1998),
Heidelberg (1999) and Bruxelles (2000), Udine (2001), Amsterdam (2002) and
Geneve (2003) this year's Congress will take place in Buenos Aires, for the
first time outside Europe.
