Mednet 2004 — call
for papers
Dear Colleagues
On behalf of The Society for the Internet in Medicine and
the Local Committee we are pleased to invite you to participate in MEDNET
2004 and present your review and /or scientific work related to the issues
of the Congress.
MEDNET 2004 — 9th World Congress of Medicine in Internet (www.mednet2004.com.ar
) — will take place in the Argentine Medical Association (Asociación Médica
Argentina), in Buenos Aires City 5–7 December, 2004
The particular issues that will have precedence at Mednet
2004 are:

access to health Information
-
impact of the Internet in patient care and follow-up
-
quality of Health Information on the Internet
-
bioethical issues of Internet and health
-
telemedicine
-
Internet in continuing medical education
-
use of Internet in health management and administration
-
use of Internet in multicentre medical research.
There will be two types of presentation:
All communications — submission and notification of
acceptance — will be made through the Web. The url will be:

The abstract corresponding to each presentation must be
sent, for its evaluation by the Scientific Committee following the " General
rules for submission of abstracts". (Please see:

The Abstracts must be in English and optionally also in Spanish. Accepted
abstracts will be published in a supplement to the Journal Technology &
Healthcare (IOS Press).

Expertise or projects concerning the Internet in Medicine
that would require multimedia projection facilities for adequate
presentation will have priority for oral presentation.
The required forms are:
Author, Presenter and Co-author (if applicable) and contact
information.
Title, Abstract text and Comments (objectives, study design, methods,
results, and conclusions). Disclosure of any commercial interests (required
even if no interests).
Full publication
All authors are encourage to submit a full paper for JMIR
(please see the conditions and costs at

The Papers must present new information or viewpoints not
previously published.
It is important to remember that the papers should be
based on the use of the web environment as a tool for medical care

accepted.
