SIM Working Group on Internet in Medicine Education: Call for Contributors

Dear Colleagues,
In order to foster the teaching of the uses of the Internet in medicine to medical students and professionals, SIM — The Society for the Internet in Medicine — is launching a Working Group on the Internet in Medical Education (IME-WG).

The Aim of the Working Group is to develop a syllabus and recommendations for teaching subjects related to the use of Internet in Medicine to various learning categories, including medical students, medical doctors, other healthcare professionals, and IT professionals working in the healthcare sector. Syllabus and recommendations will be subject to the SIM board approval and, in case, endorsement as an official recommendation of the Society.

The Working Group has been proposed by Vincenzo Della Mea, member of the SIM Executive Committee, that will be in charge of coordinating the working group and maintaining liaisons with the SIM Board.

Participation in the Working Group is open to all SIM members and SIM-List members (however, SIM membership is free), particularly to those already involved in teaching such subjects. To join the group,
please send an email to the coordinator (dellamea@dimi.uniud.it).
