Dear
Colleague
Just
published on OpenClinical are the report and presentations from the first
OpenClinical workshop on “Methods
for the Representation of Clinical Guidelines”
OpenClinical
is happy to promote local activities in core interest areas. For example, we are
pleased to announce a call for abstracts for an upcoming one-day meeting in
London to be held on 22
April 2002. “Advances
in Clinical Knowledge Management” is being
managed by the Knowledge Management Centre University College, London and
Imperial Cancer Research Fund with support from the
British Medical Informatics
Society and the Health
Libaries Group of the Association of Librarians and Information Managers

Do note that you can help us
develop the site by sending us corrections, additions and updates on any topic
we cover, particularly in the resources
area. We are especially interested at the moment in expanding two services: the
clinical application demonstrator
showcase and the archive of Artificial
Intelligence systems in clinical practice
If you know of any knowledge
management system that fits either of these categories and is not covered on the
site, then why not have it included ? Just follow the templates used on the
relevant site pages and email details to us at open@openclinical.org
A
white paper on quality, safety and ethical practices in the use of computers to
advise on patient care will be published in the next few weeks. A further
workshop, on "open source clinical knowledge" part-sponsored by
OpenClinical is also being planned
