The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, Romania in cooperation with the Romanian Society of Medical Informatics and the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences is organising in 2003 the 1st MEDINF International Conference on Medical Informatics & Engineering MEDINF2003 October 9–11, 2003, Craiova, Romania.

This celebrates the 26th MEDINF National Conference on Medical Informatics and continues a long successful tradition, extending the scope of the Conference to further promote and catalyse an international scientific dialogue within this challenging field of interdisciplinary work.

The Conference venue is provocative itself; Craiova is a very old beautiful town with beautiful surroundings, further embellished by the autumn colors.

• March 1, 2003 — extended abstract acknowledgement
• April 20, 2003 — full paper submission (4 pages) & registration fee
• August 15, 2003 — final manuscript submission for publication
