informatics seems to be a somewhat neglected discipline on the web.
This site from the UK is a welcome addition to the various informatics
resources on the web.
Public Health Knowledge
Main features:
- serves as an easy to remember single point of entry to Public Health
resources on the web.
- is continuously updated in response to feedback from Public Health
Professionals and news items are posted as they emerge.
- provides a forum for exchange of intelligence and other resources.
Forum messages can contain hyperlinks to other web, ftp or email addresses.
A web-board/public folder provides an exchange point for files. Messages
posted to the Forum can be cited as evidence of life-long-learning.
- will harness advances in Public Health Informatics.
- welcomes multi-agency, multi-disciplinary input. Team members comprise
"observers" who email web-links and news items.
