Study Shows Handheld Prescribing Devices Help Avoid Medication Errors

According to a new study, conducted by investigators at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital, physicians who use the qRx, a handheld clinical drug-reference guide from ePocrates, may be avoiding more than 2 million adverse drug events each year. Data from the study were presented on Monday at the American Medical Informatics Association's annual symposium in Los Angeles.
