The Virtual Health Library you are leaving the site

The Virtual Health Library (VHL) is a project of the Public Health  Promotion Centre (ZG), German Foundation for International Development. It is a continuously updated digital health sciences library stored on computers and available 24 hours a day.

The VHL provides distance learning materials and recommended reading lists to decision   makers of health service, physicians and other health care professionals in developing countries on a variety of health issues.

The VHL may be used to answer public health care questions, thus extracting the latest information from the Public Health Promotion Centre workshops and publications. The same information may be used for continuing health education, delivering it to health care professionals and physicians' offices and homes at their convenience.

The VHL is built on existing Internet communication standards and  uses the world wide web (WWW) software technology to store, organise, and distribute our information. We define the VHL as a programme that furnishes its users with broad educative information based on the ZG's work experiences and targeted at the required national and regional needs of developing countries.
