Virtual Centre for Health Informatics (V-CHI) is a network of persons in the fields of research, development, production, educational, and clinical environments. Emphasis is put on the use of information technology in the health care sector to the benefit of society. In short, how can the right information be given to the right persons in the right form at the right time and place in the right quantity.

Partners

Virtual Centre for Health Informatics (V-CHI) is a cooperation between the following organisations in Denmark:

  • The County of North Jutland/Aalborg
  • HospitalAalborg University
  • Danish Hospital Institute
  • The Faculty of Health Science at Aarhus
  • University/The County of Aarhus
  • Danish Centre for Health Telematics,Odense

Being a "Virtual Centre", the infrastructure and the management of the organisation support professional and technical cooperation in spite of geographical differences, forming a central professional network.

V-CHI goals:

  1. V-CHIs aim is to form a network to generate competence within the scientific field relating to health informatics.
  2. V-CHI aims at being part of both national and international research.
  3. Within the scientific field of health informatics, V-CHI wants to establish the synergy and coherence between the various projects of research and development within the cooperation.
