Interest in helping health consumers (my own
patients) access high quality health information, to aid shared decision-making
in primary healthcare.
Current Interests:
Research assistant, beginning project (January
2000) to offer web access to patients of an inner city general practice in UK.
Examining issues
of usability of the web and health information on the web, to consumers with
little or no experience of computers, generally poor literacy, and little
experience of being "consumers".
Rating value of health information on web -
defined by quality and utility of information in practical settings, for both
professionals and consumers.
