G7 (G8) ENABLE is an EU
Project funded by ISPO
(Information Society Project Office) and managed
within G7 Sub-project 5 "Enabling
Mechanisms". The project commenced January
1998 with a Project Plan spanning 12
months. It involves members in the G7
Nations, Australia, Belgium and Eire. The most significant of
its deliverables will be a report to the EU, G7
Ministers and other key policy makers.
This report:
describes the
main barriers to a global information
society for health
provides a
list of national and international
authoritative sources of
information/advice on those barriers
contains
advice on how to approach those barriers
when implementing an international
project
makes
recommendations to the EU, G7 Ministers
and other key policy makers on actions
they should take to ENABLE a global
information society for health
