The UK NHS Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) announced that  the Effective Health Care bulletins (EHCB) are now available on the Web.

The full text of bulletins is available from Volume 2 Issue 6 (August 1996). Summary points of bulletins are also available from Volume 2 Issue 1 (October 1995).

Topic areas include cancer management, mental health promotion, obesity and angina. Effective Health Care is a bi-monthly bulletin for decision makers which examines the effectiveness of a variety of health care interventions.

Bulletins are based on a systematic review and synthesis of research on the clinical effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and acceptability of health service interventions.

This is carried out by a research team using established methodological guidelines, with advice from expert consultants for each topic. The bulletins are subject to extensive and rigorous peer review
