Centre for Health Informatics Aberystwyth University of Wales

The Centre for Health Informatics is one of the 8 centres in the School of Health Science at the University of Wales Swansea. Through a historical accident it is physically located in Aberystwyth, which affords it opportunities to indulge in telematic projects of all kinds - with particular strengths in Telemedicine and Electronic health records using Web Technologies.

The CHI will be running from October 1999, an MSc in Health Informatics by Distance Learning and will use the medium as part of the message i.e. use Web Technologies. It will be a 3 year course the first two years each consisting of four modules and the third year devoted to a dissertation.
